Environment

Secure Gateway (GWAVA)

Situation

The following fixes/resolutions are included:

Resolution

  • GWVGWIA will be able to handle messages with the GW8 (Bonsai) header information.
  • QMS2 when started up will create a file called running.txt in ...\services\qms. Upon proper shutdown QMS will delete that file. If QMS starts up and that file is still there, it knows that it didn't shut down properly. It will then proceed to reindex the database.
  • You can now control which events are scanned in each direction. You can find this under the general configuration page.
  • There are a ton of optimizations for GWAVA/ASENGINE/AUTOBLKR. Most importantly AutoBlocker will only use 4 dictionary files now. Those would be the ones that say rawbody in the filename. You'll notice the backups only backup these files now. Turns out you get roughly the same result by using these 4 dictionaries and discarding the rest. You also won't see the index files get created anymore for the dictionaries. Since we are only using 4 files now we can load it into memory.
  • The scanning speed to due the above and many other fixes is vastly improved. The days of high utilization all the time should be behind us. At least high utilization on scan threads and rwfp type threads.
  • There are a few signature issues that were resolved
  • The addnewconfig abend was fixed
