Environment
GWAVA 4.51
Situation
Another server has been set up to provide authentication only. In the older version of GWAVA it was easy to set this up. Where is the option to specify the QMS Authentication Server?
Resolution
In version 4 of GWAVA, the Configure Server page is where the QMS Authentication server specification was done. After updating to 4.51, this setting has been moved to the Configure Domains Page. Follow these steps to specify a custom Authentication Server for each domain:
1) Log in to the GWAVA Management Console.
2) Configure Domains.
The Configure Domains page is under Server/Scanner Management | Your Server | Server Management3) Expand your domain.
Click on the email domain in which an authentication server needs to be added.4) Add Authentication Server.
Enter in the new authentication server. Change the drop down from Receive Mail/Authenticate to Provide Authentication. Click the Plus sign to add the new server. After all the settings have been verified, click Save Changes.
If the existing server to receive mail is set to Receive Mail/authenticate, change that to Receive Mail only.
