Post Content filtering - links to cn, ru, es, etc
(I'm running Ver 3.6, but the Ver 3 forum doesn't seem to have much activity!)

I have content filters watching for .cn/ and .ru/ (and many others)

They are set to look "anywhere", and the "message" and "attachment" boxes are checked.

If the link in the message actually says "blahblah.cn/" of course it will be caught.

But if the link in the message says "Click Now!" (and the address is "blahblah.cn/" as seen by looking at the link's properties), these emails still get through.

Any suggestions?

thanks! Andy

In GWAVA 3, Content Filters only apply to a message's 1. subject, 2. body (message) and/or 3. attachment. GWAVA 3 does not scan the raw mime file (like GWAVA 4 can), so if the link is spelled out in the message body (ie "blahblah.cn") then your filter will pick it up. If the link is embedded in the message and not visible when you view the e-mail, then GWAVA 3 isn't able to block it.
