Post Deleting one server - the clean way?
Hi,

for testing purposes we installed an additinal GWAVA server into our network and joined it with the master GWIA scanner server, which is our main GWAVA server.

The test was not really succesful so we deleted the second server according to the way the adminstration website says. The server then was deleted and vanished correctly.

But one problem is left: we can not restart GWAVA correctly on our mainserver, because the gwavaman module still tries to contact the second (now gone) server. Is there a proposed fix for this?

cu, Marco

There may be a problem with the database not letting go of the replicated server. Please contact support and send them your gwavaman.db to get this issue resolved.

Thanks.

How many servers are showing under advanced/systools/replication manager?

If your other server still appears there it will probably be available to remove from the 'server maintenance' option.

Also, once you have deleted it, use the replication manager to clear all the queues.

If all that fails, use the DB editor and go into the 'host' table and remove the entry from there (it'll be the host type="remote" server). You need to restart gwavaman after manually removing the host.
